Air Conditioning
Depending on its intended sales region, the air conditioning system is filled with R134a or 1234yf refrigerant. If available, you can refer to the label on the RH front trunk trim.| Fluid | Part Number |

CAUTION
Do not mix different types of air conditioning system oil. Model S, Roadster 1.5 and Roadster 2.0/2.5 all use different oils. Model S and Model X use the same A/C system oil.
If ultraviolet dye needs to be added to the system to troubleshoot a leak, use only Tracerline Tracer-Stick TP-3811 (Hybrid / POE) dye.
Coolant Solutions
The cooling system contains an ethylene glycol (phosphate and nitrate free) based coolant.Tesla G-48 coolant (part number 1029320-00-A or 1061466-00-A) is a pre-mixed 50/50 solution of antifreeze and water. The coolant is ready to use. Do not add water.
CAUTION
Do not top-up or refill the cooling system with any other type of coolant, do not use any additives.
Coolant Concentration
The overall coolant concentration should not fall below 50% by volume to ensure that the anti-corrosion properties of the coolant are maintained. Coolant concentrations greater than 60% are not recommended as cooling efficiency will be impaired.Tesla G-48 coolant (part number 1029320-00-A or 1061466-00-A) is a pre-mixed 50/50 solution of coolant and water. Brake Fluid
DOT 3 Dow 372LB (part number 1060099-00-A) is the recommended brake fluid. Only use new fluid from sealed containers.Note
Avoid mixing DOT 3 and DOT 4 type brake fluids. Perform the brake system flush procedure if changing brake fluid types. Vehicles are originally supplied with DOT 3 brake fluid.
